Partnering in Patient Care

At Paxina Health, we value strong partnerships with referring providers. Whether you’re a primary care physician, psychiatrist, therapist, or other mental health professional, our goal is to complement the work you’re already doing—not compete with it.

When you refer a patient to us, you can expect:

  • A thorough diagnostic evaluation
  • Clear communication about treatment plans and progress
  • Respect for your role in the patient’s care
  • Optional coordination for co-management, especially with therapy

Let’s work together to help your patients move forward.

Who We Help

We work with adult and adolescent patients facing:

  • Major Depression, including treatment-resistant depression
  • Depression with anxious distress
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Late-life depression
  • Other mood and anxiety-related conditions

Many of our patients have tried multiple forms of treatment without lasting relief. Our role is to re-evaluate, clarify the clinical picture, and offer interventions that may not have been accessible or appropriate before.

When to Refer

Consider referring when a patient:

  • Has not responded to at least two antidepressant trials
  • Experiences side effects that limit medication adherence
  • Presents with severe or worsening symptoms despite treatment
  • May benefit from interventional approaches like TMS or SPRAVATO®
  • Needs diagnostic clarity or a fresh perspective on complex symptoms

We are also available for informal consultations.

Our Approach

We understand the trust it takes to refer a patient. Our process is thorough and collaborative:

  • Comprehensive Intake: Each patient receives a full evaluation, including history, symptoms, prior treatments, and current needs.
  • Shared Planning: We involve patients in every treatment decision and provide clear rationale for any recommendations.
  • Ongoing Coordination: With patient consent, we maintain communication with referring providers to ensure continuity and alignment.
